Summer Skating
All club levels, including intro, are encouraged to take group lessons in the summer.
Changes this summer:
- Group instruction will change to 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Tuition cost has been adjusted to reflect this decrease. Coaches would like to see if this allows for more focused classes and see if this works better overall prior to making plans for the fall season.
- Summer Sessions will not automatically include off-ice classes. Instead, those will be a separate optional class that you may sign up for. Coaches firmly believe that off-ice training as important to the growth of the skaters.
Ages
Skater must be 5 years old or older.
All skaters new to Intro to Figure Skating need to have passed the City of Steamboat Springs Learn to Skate Program or an equivalent Learn to Skate Basic 3 Program prior to enrolling. Those who enroll without passing a Basic 3 program will be re-directed to the Steamboat Springs Learn to Skate Program.
