Patrick O'Neil brings over twenty-five years of broad-based coaching experience, working with athletes of all ages and abilities—from grassroots participants to international-level singles competitors. With a strong foundation in leadership at local, national, and international levels, Patrick is widely recognized for his deep expertise in coaching education, athlete development, and organizational leadership.
We are thrilled to have him joining us in Steamboat!
Ages
Skaters must have completed Basic 1, 2, and 3 in the City of Steamboat Springs Learn to Skate Program to be eligible to participate in the Steamboat Skating Summer Camp.
When
Summer camp will be the week of June 8-12, 2026 at the Howelsen Ice Arena.
Schedule
Each day will be divided up to help skaters develop in all areas pertaining to figure skating.
Cost
Basic 4-6 levels: Half day camp (12pm - 4pm), $495
Aspire 1-4 levels: Full day camp (8am - 4pm), $695
Pre-preliminary levels and above (7:45am - 11:45am): Half day camp, $495.
Extra Costs
A limited number of private lessons will be available with Patrick O'Neil that can be purchased independently.
Performance
On Friday, June 12th from 4-5pm, we will host an exhibition for parents to see what their skater has learned throughout their camp experience. All registered skaters are encouraged to participate.
Dress Code
All skaters are encouraged to wear tight fitting clothing with gloves and a jacket while on the ice. Skaters will also need to bring athletic clothing and tennis shoes for all off-ice training classes.
2026 Summer Camp
This summer camp will help skaters of all ages and skill levels improve their skills and their overall athleticism! We are so honored that this year, renowned ISU Coach Developer and technical education expert, PATRICK O'NEIL, will be joining us!
Registration levels and fees:
Basic 4-6 levels: Half day camp (12pm - 4pm), $495
Aspire 1-4 levels: Full day camp (8am - 4pm), $695
Pre-preliminary levels and above (7:45am - 11:45am): Half day camp, $495.
**Please note, additional freestyle session will be available during the week for higher level skaters!
Patrick will also be available for a limited number of private lessons.
Programming for the week will include on-ice training, off-ice training, and some team building.
Skaters will need to bring sneakers, water bottles, and jump ropes. Full day skaters will need to bring a lunch as well.
All registrants must fill out the required informational document.
